A few weeks ago, I got the opportunity to watch my son graduate from kindergarten. I hate to sound like an antagonist, but there was really nothing about the experience that excited me. I couldn’t help but think of how we allow society to raise our kids and then we complain when our kids stray from God.
It’s so interesting to think that our kids go to school each year and learn nothing about God all the way up to senior year in high school, then graduate, and we expect them to be devout Christians.
Imagine if I sent my son to school to be a chef, and he came back only learning how to play the piano — I would be outraged! But for some reason we have different expectations when it comes to our children and God. We send them to school to learn about a society that wants nothing to do with God, but for some reason, we are shocked when they come back wanting to know nothing of Him.
A few months ago, I had the opportunity to talk to a professor from Harvard University. As we were talking, he says to me, “Would you mind mentoring my son?” And I couldn’t help but think — If Harvard has all the answers, why is everyone left with so many questions?
Is it not society’s most educated that are persuading us to allow our kids to cut off their genitals? Is it not society’s most educated that are telling us that God does not exist? I’m pretty sure it’s the highly esteemed people of society that are telling us that it makes sense for a man to marry a man.
13 Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [unobtrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom.14 But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.15 This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal), even devilish (demoniacal). JAMES 3:13 AMPC
Isn’t it ironic that someone can go to Harvard and end up with a degree, but lose his penis in the process? We have become so accustomed to trading our identities for degrees that we have the most educated nation that no longer knows what restroom they belong in.
"For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one and the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another—men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution. And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome," - Romans - 1:26-28 AMPC
Perhaps this is what Jesus is saying when He mentions being in the world, but not of the world — When we are alive and learning the ways of Jesus Christ, and not imitating the ways of a falling society.
"Now when they saw the boldness and unfettered eloquence of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and untrained in the schools [common men with no educational advantages], they marveled; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus." - Acts 4:13 AMPC
The people were astounded by the wisdom of Jesus, because He didn’t know letters, but He knew how to get to heaven.
"The Jews were astonished. They said, How is it that this Man has learning [is so versed in the sacred Scriptures and in theology] when He has never studied?" - John 7:15 AMPC
Our money and time have been spent on degrees that will only be helpful for counting the number of days that our soul has been in hell.
I advise you to make a decision today to take your children back from society, so they will know their identity, not only in Christ, but in the person that Christ created them to be.
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6 KJV
Question of the day: Will we continue to applaud an educational system that sends most people to hell and only a few to college?
