Shortly after our team arrived in Cape Town, South Africa, God told us to go to a nearby smoothie shop. Once we got there, a woman and her husband approached and enthusiastically begin asking where we were from and what we're doing in Cape Town. The team told the couple that we're here to preach the gospel message. Once she heard this, the woman, named Norma, insisted that we come to her church and meet her pastor.
The group ended up getting connected to the pastor and several nearby townships (informal settlements) in which they begin doing child and teen ministry as well as charity work.
A few weeks later, Norma called and informed us that she was unable to attend church because of the amount of pain she was experiencing. She shared that she had been struggling with urinary issues, with her test numbers being 300% over normal amounts.
The team invited her over for prayer and encouraged her to walk in her healing. A few days later, she called to let us know that she went to the doctors for a follow-up test which confirmed her complete healing! She was overjoyed, thanked the group for the prayer and said she is sure that Jesus healed her!
